Senior Buyer for Product Transfer • Performs complex purchasing activities including pricing, volume discounts, negotiating terms and long-term contracts with suppliers, and delivery of goods\services • Negotiates best terms (price, delivery, and payment terms) with suppliers, while maintaining efficient output of purchase orders, to reach highest quality at best value • Establishes source selection criteria for evaluation of quotations including target pricing • Evaluates quotations received from prospective suppliers and makes decisions regarding award of purchase orders • Implements formal and legal contractual documentation into the purchase orders, encompassing all corporate and government requirements • Resolves discrepancies between purchase order requirements and supplier performance • Ensures compliance to government laws, regulations and procurement policies and procedures • Identifies problem areas, initiates corrective action and establishes problem resolution dates in a timely manner • Maintains current and accurate purchase order data in the purchasing system (e.g. delivery dates, pricing, change orders) • Work closely with trade compliance team to enforce ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations), EAR (Export Administration Regulations), and Arms Export Control Act (AECA)

Receive customer product request like remote control, USB drive, etc., and manage all project aspects to bring the project from RFQ, through development, to mass production. Source and audit new product and PCBA suppliers for various commodities while maintaining existing supplier relationships and performing audits as necessary. Source component crosses to provide the greatest customer quality and value. Provide technical support to both the customer and the supplier. Monitor production schedule and work with the factory regarding technical issues. For new products, coordinate with production, NPI, and QA departments to meet

Handle all aspects of project development, from kick off meeting with all departments to project EOL including regular conference calls with customers. Coordinate engineering, purchasing, production, and NPI teams, from both supplier and customer, as needed, to ensure smooth, on-time delivery of product. At mass production or BOM change, negotiate resolution of obsolete items or excess inventory with customer. After pre-production builds, work with engineering department to accept customer comments and make improvements with engineering team. Monitor product costs and develop cost saving proposals to customer.

Manage project from concept to mass production to EOL, including assisting relevant departments to solve any and all problems during product development. Create and maintain production schedule during development. Receive new product RFQ and share product scope with internal departments. Continuously receive customer inputs and feed back product and build status. After pre-production builds, work with engineering department to accept customer comments and make improvements with engineering team. Monitor raw material cost and the material inventory control.
