Initially hired to help lead the marketing efforts for the next stage of growth and manage a complete overhaul of the company’s web presence. This had involved the management of an external agency for the design an development while personally getting my hands dirty with the creation of copy and digital assets, the migration of existing content, and technical SEO implementation. Ongoing tasks initially included SMM, SEM, SEO, copywriting, partnership management, graphic design and email marketing before a shift in focus moved most of my attention towards assisting Enterprise Clients with their go-to-market efforts.
Completely overhauled both functions, moving them in-house from the previously engaged outsourced agency. I had the role of actively creating, implementing, and managing a range of organic and paid search campaigns with an intent of driving an increase in business at continually lowered costs. This involved work on both the primary brand SocietyOne along with their subsidiary GetCreditScore, the first free and instant credit score platform in Australia. As a Startup environment, my role weaved in and out a growth hacking-centric position with much of my time also dedicated to personally developing and implementing social media strategies, cross-platform remarketing, media-buy activities, content marketing, and external partnership management. I directly contributed to the 5X monthly growth of the company and placed it as the leader of Marketplace lending in Australia.
Initially hired as a Marketing Assistant directly to the CEO, in a company of only 15, I quickly moved into broader online marketing roles before taking on the position of SEO Manager. Through creative SEO campaigns, I achieved, and maintained, top #1 - #5 positions across all targeted keywords. This included some of the most competitive organic terms such as web hosting, web host, dedicated hosting, and dedicated servers. My position also covered a broader range of tasks including most web & graphic design, front-end web development, Wordpress development, and content marketing. My work contributed to the growth of the company to over 50 employees and assisted the growth towards a major acquisition.
