One baby will use 5000-6000 disposable diapers in 3 years creating 925 kg of waste. Single-Use Disposable Diapers are at their lowest price ever and use is skyrocketing. It is Projected Africa will have 490 million births from 2020- 2030. This means 2.45 Trillion diapers could end up in Africa's streets, waters, or landfills. This is the equivalent of 9380 African Elephants. Many Parents in Nairobi struggle to wash their diapers due to lack of water and soaps and cannot afford to pay the upfront cost of buying modern cloth diapers, so MamaToto is working to provide solutions to both issues by offering weekly rented / financed diapers and laundering service. • Responsible for fundraising, finances, quality control, market analysis, cost structuring, and business set-up. • Develop patterns, source materials, improve supply chain to cut costs, and negotiate contracts. • Partner development with professional laundering service, local organizations training disadvantaged women tailoring skills, WASH organizations, logistics/transportation companies, and ecommerce professionals. • Facilitate focus groups and develop marketing materials and manuals for parents. • Oversee all sales, sales agents, and create social media content.
