Over the last couple of years I interviewed Pulitzer Prize-winning American-Dominican novelist Junot Díaz, Mexican writer, producer and screenwriter Guillermo Arriaga, Argentine rugby union football players Juan Imhoff and Nicolas Sànchez, Argentine journalist and author Hinde Pomenariec amongst others.
In addition to managing creative localization projects, I also managed the digital marketing activities for the In Language department. Duties include full spectrum of digital marketing activities including, management of the Inlanguage website, online content management, social media strategy and implementation, EDM’s, SEO / SEM, reporting and data analysis.
As part of an SBS Australia initiative to develop employee career development, I had the opportunity to complete a two week fellowship with AJ+ at their San Francisco office. I spent time with the AJ+ Español, Social Media, Real Time and News-Gathering teams gaining knowledge in digital content & video production.
• Oversee end to end production for multiple large-scale localization projects in over 68 languages. Production included translations, typesetting, subtitling and dubbing. • Source appropriate translators, schedule and book facilities, coordinate, supervise contractors and quality control. • Typeset and review artwork into different languages such as Arabic, Assyrian, Korean, Chinese, Khmer, Thai, Greek, French, and Spanish among others ensuring accurate and quality final print files/artworks are a fair reflection of the English artwork version. • Editing and re-writing English and Spanish radio scripts, record, edit and mix audio sessions.
• Assist Producers in managing localization projects from brief to production with active participation through to completion. This includes translations, typesetting, subtitling, dubbing and video productions jobs. • First point of contact customer service to clients of In-Language. Liaise with customers (both internal and external), providing a high level of service over the phone, through written communication and face to face. • Provide quotes to clients and follow up until it is approved and converted into a localization project.
Processing of bank statements for 30 company accounts. Electronic Funds Transfer payment runs and payroll payments on a weekly basis. Bank account and vendor reconciliations for month end. Data entry of invoices with purchase order numbers into SAP. Liaise with creditors enquiries, both external and internal.
Coordination of localization projects for Latin American offices, we handled English, Spanish and Portuguese translations. Implementation of procedures to ensure translation accuracy, clarity, cohesion and conformity with company standards policy and practice, and making suggestions to the management with respect to those procedures. Assistance to the Regulatory Affairs Manager / Clinical Operations Managers with preparation and organisation of all regulatory documents to submit before the Independent Ethics Committee and Ministry of Health in Argentina.
