In 2017, I was brought on board to manage the creation of their private label brand. In this role, I analyze the current spend to determine what items and categories to do in a private label. I create the bid, work with the international or domestic suppliers to manage the bid process and then work through sample approvals with the customer. In 2007 McKesson acquired Cypress Medical Products, LLC for their sourcing capabilities and over 20 years of strong sourcing relationships and experience. Cypress Medical Products operate as a subsidiary of McKesson Corporation. In 2013 McKesson then acquired PSS World Medical bringing together two strong sourcing organizations. PSS was an American distributor of medical products, equipment, billing services and pharmaceutical related products to non-hospital healthcare providers. In this role, I supported the category manager by directing sourcing related activities to meet yearly objectives and customer's needs. I worked closely with the suppliers to monitor and analyze commodity costs, and then negotiate with factories to assure the best cost possible. As a senior member in the department, I was the go to resource for new hires and trained many new hires.
