In October 2009, One Stop Hire purchased the assets of PSL with me being promoted to operations director. My responsibilities include support to the branch management team to ensure consistent high levels of service and customer satisfaction. To ensure profitable and cost efficient operations whilst complying with company policies and procedures. Within the 4 years of trading we have increased our total turnover from £500k to £5.5 Million. We have recently expanded our services with a customer servicing / workshop repair Centre, training Centre and sales Centre. My main focus has been to reduce costs and therefore increase profit by ensuring our monthly repair and transport charges are greater than the cost. I have achieved this by creating a central hire desk based at head office who control and email all loss / damage notification to the clients within 24hours upon the receiving the information from the depot network. • Constantly review our supply chain to reduce cost without any negative impact on quality. • Regularly conduct internal audits and update our ISO9001 and OHSAS18001 management system to ensure a high standard is maintained. • Overseeing and supporting the operational team of 65 members of staff within 10 branches (including Central Workshop) throughout the Northwest, whilst ensuring high levels of customer service and quality standards. • Manage the company fleet of 55 vehicles ensuring maintenance, servicing and tax renewals are kept up to date. • Monitor and analyse invoice queries to highlight trends and implement systems to prevent reoccurrence. • Setting individual budgets and monitor P&L’s, highlighting areas and developing methods of reducing costs without a negative impact on turnover. • Dealing with day to day issues that may arise with running of the depots, and staff involves i.e. service, queries, problem solving, disciplinaries, and staff recruitment.
