Providing support for the Corporate Manager of Construction and Functional leads for the Corporate Function including Corporate Welding, Global Workforce Services, Talent Management and Bechtel Equipment Operations. Communicating with individual business units’ Mangers of Construction and Lead Construction engineers to identify areas for improvement within the corporation and provide guidance on such matters to avoid replication across business units.

Manager of field engineering and support personnel on ExxonMobil, lump sum, direct hire, construction only project. Team consisted of 80 field engineers and 25 direct hire support staff. Interfaced with client personnel to identify and mitigate quality and engineering issues. Worked with engineering and procurement consortium partner to resolve design and testing issues and ensure timely communication of delivery issues. Established field engineering programs related to quality work packaging, automation, equipment and piping preservation, hydro-test package generation, loop check, and LOTO among others. Worked with the construction supervision staff to establish plans for installation activities and assisted with engineering issues as needed. Lead a very dynamic organization that adapted to leadership changes and organizational changes as required during the life of the project.

Assisting Project Field Engineer with establishing procedures, finalizing Inspection and Test Plans, material identification and approval, work package creation, and personnel decisions on large petro-chemicals project. Contributing in project management meetings and working to resolve issues expressed from the client. Coordinating engineering and procurement deliverables in order to meet schedule requirements. Actively promoting safety and quality as values with personnel during project execution. Expanding expertise in project set up of a large direct hire project.

Supervised field engineering personnel on project over 1 billion dollars. Responsible for ensuring SWPP compliance on the construction management project to ensure completion of the project. Ensured efficient utilization of personnel. Responsible for hiring and onboarding new engineers to the project. Worked through personnel issues and managed conflicts and human resources issues. Attended and contributed to project management team meetings. Ensured proper communication to over 25 engineering reports to ensure that management priorities were communicated effectively to ensure program completion. Managed document control group, Teamworks, and Setroute administrators. Provided quality metrics to functional management and ensured improvement of subpar reports. Promoted safety and quality as values on the project through field engineering communications and programs.

Managed engineers from all disciplines in the OSBL. Worked to complete the East and West Tank Fields as well as the interconnecting battery piping in support of the main unit on the project. Worked with several different contractors to ensure timely and quality completion of the work. Coordinated turnover activities, managed the accuracy of the Completionworks module. Ensured accurate reporting of quantities and manhours. Coordinated with the client in regards to the Safety in Design requirements. Continued development of managerial and leadership skills.

Worked with several disciplines to ensure smooth completion and turnover of RWE and Flare areas. Interfaced with other areas of the project to allow completion of systems. Ensured discipline engineers compliance with established procedures. Coordinated technical inquiries to the design group. Managed the document control department for the processing and organization of documents ranging from design revisions to turnover packages. Gained knowledge of the turnover process and the completion of projects. Established a familiarity with other disciplines in order to further advance construction sense. Learned critical managerial and leadership skills to allow development for future management roles.

Provided field engineering services for several sections of the project. Worked extensively with subcontractors in order to complete civil, concrete and structural steel scopes of work. Created work packages, wrote scopes and provided base line estimates for subcontract estimates. Coordinated with design engineers to provide solutions to RFI's, field changes and deficiencies. Provided input for reports for schedule and cost management to ensure proper reporting. Communicated with subcontract quality control and performed quality assurance duties for civil, concrete and steel construction.

Assisted construction of the main span of the Galveston Causeway I-45 Bridge reconstruction project. Completed tasks such as survey, material coordination, quantity and hours reporting. Designed construction platforms, formwork, and other structures to aid construction using RISA 2000. Also completed minor concrete designs. Gained in depth knowledge of the heavy civil construction process from notice to proceed to completion.

Coordinated award winning design of a new soccer complex for the Tippecanoe Youth Soccer Association, designed an overall layout, scheduled meetings with several entities, as well as performed several presentations to committees regarding the facility. Finished design includes fields, a building, irrigation system and parking facilities.
