Responsible for company new product development efforts overseeing all engineering aspects including: concept design, engineering drawings, rapid prototyping, engineering change orders, material discrepancy reports, customer complaints, interacting with customers to design and develop sealing solutions, processing and pricing of all customer quotes, developing and managing new molded rubber products division, specification and design of new equipment, assisting with Quality issues and root cause analysis, implementing manufacturing technology and process improvements, and material specifications (both rubber and plastic). • Manage five (5) direct reports in the execution of the Engineering departments (two locations; California and Indiana) to meet product specifications, overall timeline and budget. • Responsible for custom business growth spurt from $27MM to $60MM in sales revenue over 12 years. • Member of management team discussions in business strategy, company acquisitions, and capital equipment purchases. • Directly interact and support eleven (11) direct sales people and US/International distributor network. • Collaborate daily with cross functional department managers to meet product function, quality and delivery goals to customers. • Invented, wrote and presented business plan, developed, and patented four (4) products for use in the RV industry with potential sales of $40 MM/yr. Slide Out Seals and Fascia Board. • Invented, developed, and produced a new Tonneau Cover Hinge product for use in the Automotive Aftermarket (Tonneau Covers) industry with potential sales of $10 MM/yr. Consolidates three parts into one; reduces overall part weight, customer labor, materials, and SKU count. • Invented, developed, and patent pending of a new Fender Flare Trim for use across multiple industries (Bus, RV, Truck Bodies) with potential sales of $5 MM/yr. Reduces customer labor, materials, and SKU count.
