Started as a VA/VE Engineer in Cost Reduction/Product Enhancement program at Rubbermaid in March 2015, primary activities were process development and product testing. Included in product testing is root cause analysis to failures and product tooling changes to address these failures insuring quality and production efficiency. In July 2016 I was moved into tooling support with many of the same activities but more heavily aligned with tooling and quality support. I was hired direct in Feb of 2017 as the Tooling Engineer for VAVE corporate wide.

Coordinated and managed ECN process with Engineering support team in India using Team Center. Provided input and support for structural welding, inspection and validation of process and results along with tooling improvements to enable weldments to meet all drawing requirements for fit and function.
Continuous Product Development for three lines of Caterpillar Forestry Products, the 324, 325 and 568 platforms Address all assembly issues on the line with development for safety and ease of assembly. Work with suppliers for cost control and quality improvement.
Machine design for production for Tweel tire build. Using SolidWorks performed Kinematic Motion studies and designed machines for applying material to build tires. High speed machines for applying bulk material in the tire building process meeting all safety and spec requirements.
Current Product Engineer for C7, C9 and C12 marine engines. Addressed all assembly processes, fit and function issues with supplier components and assembly sequence and appropriate torque setting for quality assembly. Cost reduction by converting some weldments into castings and assisting suppliers to meet in house requirements and optimum costing and quality standards.
Loader Arm Design for skid steer, this was for a single lift arm for a JCB skid steer capitalizing on improved operator visibility and safety. Box frame design and welding practices were primary skill set applications.

I also had control of harness and hydraulic routing, visibility studies and overall cab development. Sr Design Engineer, this was the team that developed autonomous technology, field tested and developed reports for application strategy and development status of various components as SIC Lidar, Ultra Sonics sensors, machine vision, localization and path planning.
