• Based in the Nairobi office with frequent travel across Sub-Saharan Africa and South and South East Asia, I work closely with Bamboo’s Head of Energy Access and I am embedded in Bamboo’s global energy access team. • Roles and responsibilities include:  Sourcing, screening and appraising investment opportunities;  Performing in-depth analysis of identified companies and projects (financial, business, strategic and related socio-economic impacts);  Working as part of a small team to develop and prepare investment decisions based on detailed qualitative and quantitative analysis and prepare written investment recommendations for BEAM’s Risk and Investment Committees;  Help in drafting transaction documentation;  Lead negotiations up to closing;  Serve on the board of portfolio companies and monitor investments during their entire holding period;  Follow-up and monitor investments until repayments and/or exits;  Represent Bamboo at international Conferences and in front of local and international authorities and institutions;  Build and maintain strong and productive relationships with clients, co-investors and partners.
