This growing, independent team of exceptionally motivated professionals has over 25,000 flying hours on UAS platforms and over 35,000 flying hours on manned aircraft. UMEX is staffed by UAS and Remotely Piloted Aircraft System (RPAS) pilots, operators and maintainers as well as specialists with expertise in all areas of unmanned operations. With thousands of hours of both manned and unmanned aviation instruction, we have a peerless training capability with an established network of trainers. Drawn from air, land and sea domains, the UMEX team has the unique ability to understand the integration of unmanned systems into real-world programs. Our team is supported by professionals from various industries ranging from geospatial and imaging technologies, law enforcement and natural resource management to software and business development. Our experts have served on the board of the American Society for Photogrammetry & Remote Sensing (ASPRS), actively participate in public safety associations and promote safe flight through organizations such as the Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA). UMEX continues to expand capabilities and reach by seeking and building partnerships with organizations such as the National Public Safety Telecommunications Council, the Tactical Fire Remote Sensing Applications Committee, the U.S. Geo-spatial Intelligence Foundation, FAA-approved national UAS test sites, and accredited universities, consortiums and centers of excellence.
