I have used advanced measurement techniques (LASER, Hot Wire Anemometry, Gas Chromatography…etc.) to study the following complex combustion phenomena in parallel with running advanced computer codes (CHEMKIN, FLUENT…etc.) to simulate these measurements. 1- Effectiveness of flame suppressants under zero-gravity conditions (NASA microgravity combustion science project). 2- The flame structure, soot formation and oxidation properties of laminar premixed and diffusion flames (NASA Particulate Soot Emissions project).
