Setting up merchandising deals, distribution, acquisition of films and distribution rights deals, financing memorandums, casting, franchise development, managing talent, hiring all talent associated with creating a motion picture. Hands on set producing, foreign sales relationships, shareholder relations, editing, post production supervising, marketing, social media design, knowledge of all film markets, forming numerous alliances with other production, distribution companies. During Ms. Kates tenure, BSEG has grown into a film making enterprise with a growing number of company produced projects, many acquired titles and new franchise films. BSEG distributes directly Theatrical/VOD, a large library of films - fiction and documentaries as well as works with studios such as Lionsgate, MGM and Warner Bros. Ms. Kates is the architect of several fresh digital media initiatives incorporating BSEG's films, television into several diverse new media platforms as well as a growing Global Sales Arm with some of the largest companies in China and Internationally. Ms. Kates presides over all aspects of BSEG's operations from production to distribution to interaction with the broad investment community and a shareholder base of 2100 shareholders within Big Screen Entertainment Group (BSEG), a publicly traded company. Ms. Kates has formed strong relations with top Chinese partners in co-productions, distribution and finance with very strong ties into China and China Film Group.
