This is designed based on Sri C.K Prahalad vision Project Parivartan (The Individual change): This is a training workshop that aims at reaching (1 lakh) this year 2010- 2020 and will induce individual change. The objective is to bring about holistic awareness among the people from the age group between 14 to 70 years through non linear learning techniques. ROTARY YELAHANKA Initiated some Socio-Environmental Projects for Change Management in Collaboration of Rotary Club of Yelahanka, other Associations and NGOs Project Green Glow : Empowering Teachers in educational institutions to cultivate in the minds of children, the love for the nature and the spirit of connection with nature and reconnect to the fading reservoir of traditional knowledge as well as our biodiversity and understanding on natural medicinal remedies, vegetarian culinary, communicating to birds and animals. Learning the essence of life through the species in the biodiversity. We started with 20 schools and now planning for the whole city of Bangalore. We have partnered with Citizen Forum Ynk for Blore North. Project Grama Navachetana (Revitalization of Villages) : A model of sustainable livelihood systems for farmers and revitalization of the communities/ecosystems with tradition solutions and practices, including the areas of energy. We started with one village Hegdihalli, near Nandi Hills, Bangalore with programs like tree planting, health check up camp, supporting the government school with infrastructure, animal nutrition and productivity camp, advanced sericulture training, vermi composting training and providing vermicompost bins. We are planning to carry out projects like house hold bio-gas plant, renewable source dependent lighting system, helping poor students of villages with scholarships, supporting them with modern technology based - traditional vocations as alternate means of earning, rain water harvesting, rejuvenation of village tank, providing traditional health care system, power back up for school, dialysis and cancer detection facility in the nearby primary health care centre etc. We have also set up a village level community corps and encouraging them only to involve and execute the projects to build the ownership feeling. With success of these projects in one village we propose to extend it to several other villages.
