Led the design, architecture and delivery of Setup for all of Visual Studio 2005 Team System products including Team Foundation Server As program manager in Digital Media Division, Drove the Digital Video Broadcasting (DVB) feature and Electronic Program Guide for V1 of Windows Media Center. EPG is the first feature in Windows OS offered as a service and involved collaborating with business development, Legal, domestic and international EPG data partners for shipping V1 in US and Korea Managed an entire release of Media Center which was on a very tight schedule and shipped it in October 2004 including localization releases for Japan, France, UK, and Germany. Responsible for the design, driving development and project management for several functional areas in V1 of Microsoft TV Platform including Broadcast Data, Electronic Program Guide, ATVEF (Interactive Television) and Digital Video Broadcasting Wrote a white paper that details the technical strategy for making TV Listings a platform to enable 3rd party applications and the business strategy needed for getting extensibility metadata rights from partners. This is a pioneering effort to create a market that didn’t exist in the industry yet.
