Smart Cities Network (SCN) is a Membership-based NPO, whose goal is to promote greater and faster adoption of innovative solutions in the development of Smart Cities. I led the submission for a member of SCN (G Element) with another Singapore company (Gridcomm) to the Smart Cities Innovation Challenge Vietnam which won the first prize in November 2017, out of 197 submissions from over 30 countries. SCN has organised and participated in numerous events - roundtables, seminars, dialogues and workshops over the past years, including ConnecTechAsia (CTA) 2019. Frequently invited to speak at regional events. Led the signing of several MOUs: 1) Smart Indonesian Initiatives Association in Bandung in Sep 2018: 2) Key stakeholders (Cauayan City, Isabela State University, Dept of Science and Technology) and Smart Cities Council ANZ) for the development of Smarter and Sustainable Cities in the Philippines in January 2019; 3) At CTA2019 - Digitally Twinned Smart Cities with UBM/Informa Markets and SCC India in June 2019; and 4) Sarawak Multimedia Authority (SMA) in July 2019.
