We managed a £.51bn in AUM on a multi-asset class basis (bonds, equities, commodities, Hedge Funds and Commercial Property) I focused on equities within the UK Equity Committee to drive the UK equities asset allocation for the Investment Management business. Sector focus: Financials, Technology, Utilities and Telecoms sectors o I conducted equity research, valuations and stock picking o We used a buy and hold strategy focused on building a portfolio of good quality companies at the right price o We regularly met with companies and fund managers to keep “close” to the market Risk management – we worked within strict guidelines around asset allocation as a risk management strategy Client engagement - regularly attended client meetings with the sales team to discuss investment positioning, performance and our investment views The role included a buy-side equity research analyst role in Singapore in 2010 • Equity Research – provided equity analyses for ASEAN/ Hong Kong/ Chinese stocks. • Asia Daily – A daily summary of key market moves and data points as well as important data points for the day ahead to be disseminated at 9am daily • Thematic pieces – Researched wider topics (e.g. country and sector specific themes such as commodities) and translated them into bankable investment ideas
