Lauren Dugger

At Sunwest Communications, I manage strategic planning in corporate social responsibility (CSR), media relations, special events, community relations, writing projects and other public relations initiatives for clients in oil and gas, higher education, technology, food and beverage, foundations and the nonprofit industry. I held a two-year assignment as Community Relations Advisor for ExxonMobil’s global headquarters. I have been a managing director of Sunwest Communications since 2004. I joined the company in 1999 as an account executive. Previously, I worked at The Tate Agency in Houston. I have a bachelor's degree in journalism from The University of Texas at Austin. I am a graduate of Leadership Dallas 2004 and have served on the boards of Captain Hope’s Kids as secretary and the Dallas Youth Resource and Advisory Council. I have been involved in Dallas Contributors Network, Center for Nonprofit Management's Corporate Leaders Circle, Technology Leadership Council of the Greater Irving/Las Colinas Chamber of Commerce, and the Thomas Jefferson High School Site-Based Advisory Committee. I held the position of Families First program coordinator for the Child Abuse Prevention Center. I have been trained as a National Domestic Violence Hotline volunteer and served as a speaker educating middle and high school students on dating violence.
