As Managing Director of Global Environmental Affairs & Sustainability at United Airlines, I serve as the executive leader responsible for defining and driving the company’s long-term sustainability strategy — functioning as United’s Chief Sustainability Officer. I lead the enterprise-wide agenda for decarbonization, ensuring that sustainability is embedded in corporate strategy, financial planning, and operational decision-making across the airline. My portfolio spans global environmental compliance, large-scale change management, and the advancement of innovative technologies — from scaling sustainable aviation fuel to evaluating next-generation climate solutions that can reshape the future of aviation. I also lead United’s policy advocacy on environmental and climate issues, engaging regulators, industry partners, and government stakeholders to accelerate frameworks that support meaningful emissions reductions.
