Accountable for quarterly board reporting and ensuring Information Security, Privacy and Compliance risk is efficiently managed. • Report to the CFO with quarterly reporting responsibility to the Board of Directors. • Help drive transformational change during COVID that moved all Auction sales to the Internet and all company resources remote. • Help lead transformational change (migrating data centers to AWS, implementing Google Workspace, offshoring of resources). • Lead security, privacy and compliance for custom-built SaaS applications in the automotive, finance and technology sectors. • Lead security through multiple acquisitions, including a $1.3B spinoff (recently sold for $7.2B) and a $2.2B business unit sale to Carvana. • Currently maintaining security for 5000 employees and 5000 Carvana employees during transition. • Lead Incident Response for security or privacy incidents impacting internal, customer facing or SaaS applications. • Implemented GDPR for 3 KAR companies in the EU and CCPA in the US. • Served for 2 years as CIO/ CISO, managing a $30M annual budget with a global staff of 100. • Accountable for cost savings for all of Technology budgets generating greater than $22M in savings. • Deep understanding of Security tools including SEIM, endpoint, anti-malware, threat, email security, automated pen testing, identity, cloud posture and technology for alerting, monitoring, and reporting. • Accountable for protecting very large and complex AWS, Azure, GCP, and VMCloud environments. • Strong developer of people, maintaining minimal turnover with 2 direct reports became CISOs in other organizations. • Performed in a dual CISO/ CPO role during divestiture for 2 multi-billion-dollar organizations concurrently.
