• Oversees a $1.5 million grant through the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity that funds the Chamber’s talent and training initiatives to support companies’ workforce needs and connect businesses with local, diverse, and qualified talent. • Launched Cohort 2 of the Chamber’s Apprenticeship Program, which connects City Colleges of Chicago students with apprenticeship opportunities at member companies to provide a pathway to full-time employment. Led new marketing efforts that insured program participation to double in one year, with 15 apprentices at 8 companies in Cohort 2. • Re-established the Chamber’s Employer Training Investment Program that reimburses companies 50% of the cost to train or upskill employees, including new partnerships, easier processes for companies to access reimbursement, and a new marketing strategy to increase program awareness and participation. • Collaborates with colleagues to create engaging programming/content for the Chamber’s CSR, DEI, and Public Policy efforts. • Selected to serve on an internal team of four during the pandemic that was tasked with standing up our Economic Recovery Task Force and writing the Economic Recovery Task Force Report. The report outlines necessary steps reopen the economy in an equitable way, with small business and MWBEs in mind.
