Morison Global is a top 10 global association of professional service firms. The association represents 12,000+ professionals, from 150+ professional service firms, in 80+ countries and US$1 billion in revenue. I was appointed as the association's first CEO, with a remit to re-energise and expand the association and deliver its first 5 year plan. In my early years, I reviewed every aspect of the association from the central office, the member firms, the brand and the culture. As a direct result, in 2012 Morison Global (then known as Morison International) was the first and only association to ever be awarded both the "Rising Star Association of the Year" and "Association of the Year" accolades in the industry's global awards. In 2016, I oversaw the successful merger of Morison International and KS International to form Morison KSi (now rebranded Morison Global), the "new billion dollar kid on the block". Since then I have been involved in matters of board composition, governance and future leaders development.
MI Interact (now known as InterAct Law) is an international referral network of high quality specialist law firms. I joined the board of directors to assist the network expand its international footprint.
The Study is a long established, independent preparatory school for girls aged four to eleven, situated on two sites near leafy Wimbledon Common. I joined the Board of Governor, as an alumnae and marketing representative.
Cision is a leading global provider of software that empowers marketing communications professionals to identify key influencers, craft and distribute strategic content, and measure meaningful impact. I joined as Director of Sales, but was quickly promoted to Head of International, and then Managing Director. I was appointed to the Group's Management Board, which oversaw operations in 12 countries. I joined the CEO and CFO at Investor Relations roadshows in Stockholm and London. I represented the group in industry forums where I regularly presented. Cision Global Solutions was a newly established division of the group focused on moving the business away from transactional, lower value contracts to on-going, renewable higher value contracts. I delivered the industry's first US$1 million contract. I oversaw the establishment of operations in Hong Kong, China, Switzerland and Benelux, to open new sales markets and access lower costs production.
Thomson Reuters is the world’s leading source of intelligent information for businesses and professionals. Sweet & Maxwell Asia is part of Thomson Reuters Legal and Regulatory Division, and one of the most respected providers to the business and legal professions in the region. I joined as the 1st marketing person in Hong Kong, and ended up managing a multi-channel, culturally diverse, sales and marketing team. I formed part of the management team for Asia. I set-up pan-Asian distribution channels and managed complex relationships with key stakeholders such as the judiciary; international law firms, universities and Hong Kong and Chinese government bodies. I was responsible for the launch of significant global products into the region. I salvaged and renegotiated contracts following the East Asian financial crisis. I represented the region in global sales conferences where I regularly presented.
One of the world’s leading media company, creator of the finest and most prestigious magazine brands in the world. I returned to the UK from Spain and worked in the advertising department on the launch of GQ Magazine in the UK and provided support on a wider portfolio of titles: Vogue; Tatler; Vanity Fair; World of Interiors and Brides. I was offered the role of Advertising Manager Spain, but chose to head East to Hong Kong to widen my international horizons.
Dynamic media company and home to Britain’s best-loved media brands. I worked in advertising sales, handling agency and direct client accounts. One of my fastest growing clients was Michael Dell of Dell Computers - who went on the become the youngest CEO of a Fortune 500 company. I loved working at Dennis. I joined as an enthusiastic green graduate but quickly found my commercial feet and was surprised to realise how much I enjoyed this new world of work. As the brain-child of legendary British entrepreneur Felix Dennis, the environment was fast paced; competitive; highly commercial and full of opportunities - an environment in which I thrived. I earned enough money in two years to pursue my long-held dream to live in Spain and study Spanish for one year.
