Built and headed a department of product owners, machine learning specialists and SW developers, responsible for connected car and location based services of BMW iDrive infotainment systems ranging from connected navigation, on-/off-street parking services, C2X local hazard warning and learning/self-healing HD maps and more. Large part of those services were built in-house based on BMW fleet data and are deployed in millions of BMWs today.
Built and headed a team of software engineers and data scientists to develop cloud services and embedded software based on massive amounts of crowd-sourced vehicle sensor data. We pioneered the first HD maps and enabled BMW-proprietary digital map layers, HD map patches and real-time C2X functions for connected vehicles and L2, L3 autonomous driving. I was part of the core team of HERE's acquisition through BMW, Daimler and Audi in 2015 and responsible for creating a corporate strategy in the area of location based services.

Introduced a new methodology to significantly enhance the speed of deploying and testing customer-centric in-vehicle testing that was adopted across BMW Group R&D and scaled it through global teams (Asia, US, Europe).
