● Evaluates the progress of the outcomes and plans to grow the organization capacity and vision to ensure alignment of the purpose of the organization. ● Aligns organizational goals with the work of board directors. Create special interest committees geared toward fundraising, community outreach, marketing and youth development. Meet monthly with board directors and provide guidance about updates within the 3 schools we support, current events, workflow and how each director can support the community impact of the organization. ● Support and inform Mandarin Immersion Program students and families. Our events include general meeting workshops, the Dumpling Festival, and a Spring Event hosted by the 7th grade class. Parent groups organize a number of smaller initiatives throughout the year and Shu Ren provides fiscal management for funds raised. We also organize after-school Homework Help, advocate with Portland Public School, provide grants to teachers for Chinese-related classroom supplies and field trips, and help organize the visit from our sister school in China.
