We scaled the product to more than 4200+ cities without having any retail branches. We build one of the biggest Distribution platform (with 100+ Channel Partner Integrations + DSAs), one the the biggest CoLending platform (with 30+ Lender integration), a scalable real-time underwriting engine, a nation wide Collections platform and a ZeroTouch Architecture which was built for scale. As a Chief Technology Officer of Amazon Pay India and the founding team member, I was responsible for building fin-tech digital products for on-Amazon and doorstep payments experience, financing programs, issuance of gift cards, stored value accounts, co-branded credit cards, third party merchant acceptance and high frequency digital categories.

As a Sr. Mgr, I led the incubation & services group within eCommerce Platform team. The eCommerce Platform group builds the platform that enables Amazon to transact, manage, and secure its businesses. I was a key staeholder responsible for conceptualizing and launching successful new external and internal initiative (business and technology) for Amazon like Amazon Custom, Amazon Home Services, Fully Landed Cart, Amazon Gift Wrap etc. I also owned critical Tier1 services Aggregation Services and product/groups to build bottom line leverage across Amazon like Tenancy Configuration Service (TCS), Fat Tire and eCP Operational Excellence (eCO-X). I had ownership of diverse and complex areas to tackle the most challenging areas from new innovation to re-architecture, decoupling, time-to-market, growing/recruiting the next generation leaders. I was also a member of the eCommerce Platform Leadership Team and led the eCP India Leadership Team.

Managed and owned World Wide systems for Amazon’s eCommerce Platform Application (eCPA) team which pushed the limit of Service Oriented Architecture and drove key innovations in Amazon Shopping Cart Services, Gift Wrap / Messaging Service (Checkout) and Product Customization Services for Amazon.

Managed and owned world wide storage software which powered Amazon's Ordering system. Was responsible for the world wide infrastructure and development of caching, partitioning and archiving software which had be highly available with extreme low latency requirements. Managed and Architect-ed a Private Student Loan Origination project, and was involved in various aspect of People, Process and System design to meet very aggressive time-lines set forth by the company, to support our core product. * Helped build the People, Process and Systems required to in-source the Disbursements and Call Center Functionality for the Private Students and Private Consolidation Students Loans. * Played a key role managing and delivering the new Student Loan Origination System on time and under budget. This new LOS would support $5 Billion in Origination's and help the business reacts to market conditions better by reducing the time to market. * Directed various projects from start-up to implementation building strong vendor and internal collaboration in the launch. * Helped Architect a flexible Credit Rules Engine to support a stronger Portfolio going forward. * Lead various e-commerce projects.

Managed a staff responsible for maintenance, new development and initiatives, project management and patching of critical financial enterprise applications. Also responsible for maintaining vendor and business partners relationship • Completely revamped and architected an Accounting and Auditing Middleware System to be ready for the new POS system rollout to accept real-time POS xml financial transactions using SOA Architecture under tight deadlines. • Actively working on upgrading the Payment Switch and ReconNet software’s and making them Highly Available to minimize down-time. • Act as a technical architect and business process advisor to the CIO and VP’s during major outages and recommend best ways to recuperate from it. • Have been awarded Rock Solid awards and the prestigious Distinguished Award FY05 Q4 by FedEx Kinko’s for my contribution to the technology department.

Instrumental in proposing and delivering various Enterprise J2EE strategic initiatives to improve Customer satisfaction, ROI and Automation of business process. • Member of Open Source Review Board and Architecture Council representing Retail at the Enterprise Level. • Closely work with various Enterprise Architects to propose the best solutions to the Retail Line of Business (LOB), which also involves talking to various vendors, arranging for a demo, verify that their Architecture is in line with the Banks standards etc. • Architect for Servicing Management Strategy (SMS), a major J2EE initiative in Retail Loan Servicing to consolidate and upgrade both the business and technology. Various technologies like Work Flow, EAI, Rules Engine, Application Server, Optical Character Recognition (OCR), automated real-time and batch printing, Service Oriented Architecture were considered and architected for.
