As a Solution Expert and business development manager, I interface with customer to understand the technical requirement and suggest solutions for the additive manufacturing requirements. The key success factor is in finding out value by doing topology optimization or converting multiple components to single assembly or improving designs for functionality which was not possible earlier through conventional manufacturing methods.
As an application, I used to convert customer needs to a techno commercial solution which will either improve the efficiency, output , availability or reliability of the existing power generation equipment. This is by applying the new technologies that were developed over the time after the plant was erected. As a starting and loading engineer I was primarily responsible for optimizing and defining startup cycle of new steam turbine design. Once the turbine is installed in the field, it is monitored continuously for its health using data collected through the instruments. The data is used to find any abnormalities or improvements possible in the operation of the turbine. Supported the design cycle of Nuclear Steam turbine which is currently operating.
