Herbst Capital Management, LLC is a hedge fund that invests in publicly traded companies worldwide. Our investment strategy is centered on deep fundamental analysis. We seek out promising risk/ reward scenarios in smaller companies that tend to fly under the radar, otherwise known as micro-cap / small cap companies. Our fund concentrates its assets on three key factors within companies: 1) changes in business fundamentals that are not yet reflected in the stock prices, 2) a discount to intrinsic value that provides a margin of safety, and 3) ethical and smart leadership. We intentionally avoid over-diversification so as not to dilute our clients’ return potential, focusing instead on somewhere between 5-10 asset-light companies, which we expect to generate significant free cash flow in the years to come.
