At Wipeco Industries I have worn many different hats. Initially hired as a customer service representative I was tasked to manage large amounts of incoming calls, identify and assess customers’ needs to achieve satisfaction, build sustainable relationships and trust with customer accounts through open and interactive communication, provide accurate, valid and complete information by using the right methods/tools, handle customer complaints, provide appropriate solutions and alternatives within the time limits; follow up to ensure resolution, and go the extra mile to engage our customers. After a short amount of time at the company, the controller noticed I was detail oriented, so I assisted her in portions of accounts receivable. I periodically process accounts and incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures, perform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting and recording accounts receivables’ data, prepare bills, invoices and bank deposits, verify discrepancies and resolve clients’ billing issues, facilitate payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting clients, generate financial statements, and reports detailing accounts receivable status. Most recently, I have been tasked by the Vice President of Marketing to assist with freight management. This new role has me reach out to carriers for quotes on the loads that need to ship, developing relationships with transportation providers and third-party logistics (3PL) companies, negotiate service contracts/agreements with third party logistics companies, measure and monitor efficiencies and keep costs at a competitive level, prepare accurate bills of lading, track shipments, communicating with LTL shippers and courier to ensure prompt pick-up and delivery of shipments. As part of an ongoing project, I have expanded and continually maintain the company’s freight cost database to ensure we get the best possible price.

Connected with and built a rapport with a variety of customers by actively listening to the customers by asking the right questions and offering solutions which catered to customer needs. Delivered reliable solutions to customers with a sense of urgency and sound judgment. Drove the sale of products and services by consistently meeting and exceeding individual sales targets. While at Fido, I rose quickly through the ranks to benefit the team manager. It allowed him more free time and allowed me to learn more about the company. Some of the tasks that I performed to assist the team manager were I provide floor support to my colleagues as a relief supervisor, provided coaching of my colleagues as part of our weekly training program, quality control analyst, and final analyst for difficult situations prior to customer complaint being escalated further.

Provided customers with friendly and professional service. Ensured that all department operations were efficient and adequate through precise merchandising of displays. Actively contributed to an environment of employee and customer engagement while adhering to all Food Safety Protocols, Standard Operating Procedures, corporate policies and Health and Safety, and other programs and initiatives. Additionally, processed and received seafood orders, analyzed and controlled shrinkage, maintained inventory and procurement. Was solely responsible for the acquisition and training of employees in the seafood department.
