Daybreak FGC provides family group conferences and associated training and consultation to a range of local authorities and other agencies across the UK. FGCs bring together extended family and friends to make plans for a child, young person or vulnerable adult when a important decisions need to be made. We currently work in the context of child and adult welfare and safeguarding, domestic abuse, and conflict resolution. The organisation has grown from one small programme in 2000, to now providing services to 12 LAs across the country. We now have 16 members of staff, 20 volunteers; and have recruited, trained, supported and commissioned approximately 35 self-employed coordinators.
