Marjaana Dailey's current jobs
In my time at K1 as their business analyst, I have had the privilege of wearing many hats to help keep our production flow efficient. I am responsible for purchasing and managing orders of raw materials through our domestic and international vendors. This includes 12 different fabric types and twill. I also coordinate fabric and twill shipments to our partner in the Dominican Republic. I manage and maintain our inventory on these goods through Excel. I use past order history and production to determine reorder points and quantities that will keep us from running out of product while having a delicate balance of safety stock. I place the orders for all of our embroidered appliques. The process starts with our graphics team creating the logos and converting our customer's art into vector form. From there, I provide the art, size, thread and twill colors to our embroidery vendors and work with them on different production methods to not only create an appealing design for our customers, but keep the designs as cost efficient as possible. I assist in maintaining the priority list of our orders and compose all details for appropriate departments to execute their portion of the order in a timely manner. For example, I receive the roster for an order and write up how many numbers need to be cut, which font, size, colors, etc. and communicate that to our laser cutter through an Excel generated sheet. This process is very important to eliminate any chance of error before the twill is sewn and pressed onto jerseys. I serve on a team working on various capacity tools to improve our efficiency so we have a better visual of how much work we can complete on a weekly basis. The ultimate goal is to create an efficiency metric that can eventually be used to reward our teams. I have assisted with the onboarding and training process of our new hires in the twill cutting department.
