This company is concerned with providing eXroid electrotherapy treatment to patients with haemorrhoid disease (piles). eXroid is the subject of NICE guidance: IPG525 and MIB201. We are currently planning for there to be 20 clinics around the UK providing eXroid treatment with accredited consultants undertaking all consultations and treatments, and hope to be offered on the NHS during the next year too (2022). We have both the ISO13485:2016 and CE accreditations for the eXroid Haemorrhoid treatment system. This treatment is an out-patient treatment requiring no pre-preparation, no anaesthesia, no cutting, no burning, and with a good treatment outcome. Most patients can return to their normal daily life immediately after treatment. Perhaps the most attractive thing about eXroid is the minimal risk of complications (with over 155,000 electrotherapy procedures performed in the USA and elsewhere in recent years and now over 4500 in the UK), which puts it in a league of its own where treating this embarrassing condition is concerned. eXroid electrotherapy can be used to treat any grade of haemorrhoid from 1-4, and our patients can get symptomatic relief in only one treatment (about 50% of our patients), 80% are relieved in two treatments and 20% may have 3 or more for complete response, depending on the size and extent of haemorrhoids. Compelling information recently collated from patient reported outcomes showed that only 8% of patients found the treatment particularly painful during the treatment itself and only 1% experienced pain immediately after stopping treatment, lasting less than a day in most. This confirms eXroid electrotherapy to be the most painless active treatment for haemorrhoids that exists at this time, with no down time, allowing patients to just get on with their lives.
