Mark Naden's current jobs
The Studio (TS) is a young agency, formed in 2011, but sure to become one of the pre-eminent design and branding consultancies in Stockholm. Formed by partners Susanna Barrett and Mattias Borjesson, TS specialises in corporate projects rooted in comprehensive brand strategies and a relentless attention to detail. Having followed the work of Susanna Barrett for some time at various agencies in the US and Europe, I jumped at the chance to collaborate with her new agency on architecture, exhibition and product design projects. Our first project together was for cosmetic brand Qmed. TS had recently re-branded several important product lines for Qmed that were set for launch at an upcoming Paris trade exhibition. My task was to allow the design development process for Qmed's exhibition thoroughly steep in the new brand principles TS had created. And then bring the brand to life in three dimensional form, allowing customers to experience the brand in a completely immersive brand environment. Beyond the quality of design, results of corporate branding work are in the end quantified in financial terms. And for exhibition design success is counted in attendance numbers. A doubling in customer traffic more than exceeded our mutual clients expectations.
Providing design leadership for businesses in their consumer product and architectural design development initiatives, using the tools and techniques of design to build relationships with customers. Once brand-wide potentialities have been revealed, deliverables may include: · Industrial design/consumer products · Architecture/environments & exhibitions · Packaging strategy & design

The Topos Chair, designed for Italian manufacturer Malofancon, was purchased by SFMOMA for their permanent collection in 2002. Mark Naden's past jobs
Brought in to manage a sudden expansion in design work for their client Pottery Barn, I was tasked with developing concepts and design schemes for new outlets in the Manhattan area. These efforts resulted in the successful launch of Poetry Barn retail stores on Manhattan's Upper East Side. During our work for Pottery Barn several other projects came in which I was glad that I could apply my brand design expertise to. First was a temporary retail outlet for fashion brand Levis, in which a new men's fashion line was being introduced. And second was a General Store concept for the Hualalai Golf Course on the Kona-Kohala coastline of the island of Hawaii. Both of these small projects were great exercises in quickly understanding the customers needs and responding to their brand principles with an integrated environmental design that both delighted customers and added to our clients bottom line.
