Press Release: PHOTOGRAPHER EMPOWERS VICTIMS OF BULLYING BIRMINGHAM, MI – Marla Michele Must, owner of Birmingham based Enchanted Photography and a mother of three is no stranger to peer pressure and bullying. She is also well aware of the toll these kinds of abuse can have on someone’s self-confidence and self esteem. Having personally struggled with these issues as a young woman – subsequently making life and relationship choices that impacted her negatively – Marla now hopes to share her story to empower others. Marla offers “Empowered Portrait Sessions” FREE of charge to anyone who has been a victim of bullying or trauma. “Did you know that over 3 million children are victims of bullying every year?” Asks Marla “When I heard that statistic it just broke my heart and I knew I had to figure out a way to step up and help. And that is how my Empowered Portrait Sessions came to be,” She continues. "My images illuminate both inner and outer beauty, allowing them to rediscover themselves in a brand new light and it is profoundly healing." Marla holds these photo sessions outdoors because she finds that nature provides a therapeutic environment where those being photographed can relax and open up to her in ways they cannot with others. This incredible connection helps Marla to capture the true essence of her subjects. Marla seizes the opportunity to empower her subject by instilling positive self-esteem and embracing and highlighting the beauty of her subject. Marla Michele has had a camera in hand since she was thirteen. It was not until 2010 on an adoption trip to China with her two children, that she realized the impact her passion of photography had on her life. During the trip, she chronicled the adoption of her youngest daughter through her camera lens and hasn’t been able to put it down since. The gift of adoption brought along with it the return of the gift of Marla’s lifelong passion.
