Mary Conley Eggert's past jobs
Helped to double agency revenues and then transform traditional media relations agency into a digital PR agency. Part of a talented, 10-person team that helps clients increase sales, get acquired, secure investors, launch new products, expand into new markets, etc. Among our more recognizable clients: Bosch, Cisco (Channel Partners), Cleversafe, NEC Display Solutions, Rajant, RedPrairie and Wynright. Created the Tech Breakfast Club gatherings, which we hosted in Illinois, Ontario and MD/VA/DC, bringing experienced tech marketers together to share best practices and brainstorm solutions to marketplace challenges. Fun work. I was blessed to be part of it.
Facilitate the Dale Carnegie Course on human relations, self confidence, leadership, communications and stress management.
Oversaw early business development in CPA Channel. Grew enterprise partnerships, and AUM affiliated with such partnerships from 0-$500M. After all of the early development work, it's a thrill to see how far founder Jud Bergman, Brandon, Jim, Lori, Eric and Bill have taken the company, with AUM of the merged entities soon to exceed $2 Trillion and the stock price trading above $55/share. NYSE:ENV.
Developed Internet Consultancy, hiring and directing project teams to implement online programs for Chicago's leading exchange and futures brokerage firms. Responsible for implementing three Internet firsts: 1st free futures prices, 1st free real-time prices on the Internet, and 1st secure online proxy voting service. Through the introduction and marketing of the E-Mini free, real-time prices at the CME, we helped the E-Mini futures contract get started on a trajectory that has made it the fastest growing futures contract in history (through 2009). I've included the link to the current prices, as it's a great way for the average investor to trial futures: http://www.cmegroup.com/trading/equity-index/us-index/e-mini-sandp500.html
Hired to oversee the client visit program in Northbrook, Ilinois, and develop a showcase technology center. The Technology Showcase /Visit Program was set aside when Accenture (then Andersen Consulting) opted to relocate to the city. Had the fortune of touring the nation's tech showcases in my year. Very interesting and effective marketing concept - the real version of today's Virtual Trade Show!
Supported product marketing with communications programs to drive investor awareness and interest in the CME and its markets. Created the first exchange Web site on the Internet in 1994, working in concert with an external programmer and the Exchange's data and IT departments to ensure timely distribution of daily price data. Created a market roundtable series, helping 25-35 market reporters (from Dow-Jones, Reuters, MarketWatch, AP, etc.) get answers and hear commentary from leading investment and commodity market analysts around major reports (CPI, GDP, etc.). Organized the 30th Anniversary of Pork Belly Futures, which resulted in a 3-minute feature on the Today Show along with extensive coverage on CNN, CNBC, USA Today, AP and Dow Jones/WSJ. Hosted media for a variety of trading contests and reports on the trading floors as well as in external media channels.
While at UW-Madison, oversaw the development of the first newspaper for 16,000 UW-Madison Faculty & Staff, working in concert with the director of the News Service to bring together the contributors, writers, editors, photographers, printers, distributors. The newspaper was published bi-weekly for the first year and then became a weekly publication. It has been enhanced considerably over the years, and the name changed when it morphed from weekly into 24x7 http://news.wisc.edu/
