1949 Value Advisors LLC is a traditional value-driven global equity investment management company serving accredited investors including family offices and select institutions. "The Intelligent Investor", written by Benjamin Graham, was first published in 1949. I purchased a first edition copy of this book nearly 30 years ago for the grand price of $1.00 in an antique shop in New Hope, PA. It has served as my investing bible ever since. We believe that many of Mr. Graham's timeless investment principles are every bit as relevant today as they were then. 1949 Value Advisors seeks to partner with conservative long term investors who share our core principles in the face of an increasingly short term-oriented capital market environment. We believe that capital markets are generally efficient over the long term, but investor worries over macroeconomic data or company-specific issues can result in very significant deviations from fair value in the short term. These deviations provide opportunities for the disciplined value hunter who is focused on long term, fundamentally derived intrinsic values. We are bottom-up, fundamental research driven value investors, seeking to provide safety of principal and adequate returns over the long term through the careful selection of high conviction global equity securities.
