Laser induced damage in fused silica optical components with high intensity lasers Supervisors: Laurent Lamaignère and Jean-Yves Natoli During my PhD, I performed measurements of laser induced damage sites initiation and growth, as well as nonlinear propagation with a high intensity laser setup. I have also performed numerical simulations of the beam nonlinear propagation. My research results have been published in peer reviewed journals and presented at an international conference (talk and poster). The talk and the poster have been summarized in proceedings.
Development of narrow linewidth lasers for high resolution RILIS applications Supervisors : Valentin Fedosseev; Bruce Marsh; Sebastian Rothe - Weekly alignment of a laser system (tunnable wavelength resonators and their diagnostics. - Participation in an international conference, as well as several workshops organized by the LA3NET project.
Laser induced photodetachment in highly electronegative plasma : application to space propulsion Supervisor : Stéphane Mazouffre - Design and implementation of a laser setup dedicated to the measurement of the negative ion density of an electronegative plasma via laser photodetachment.
Optimum design for X-ray fluorescence identification of elements Supervisor : Jonathan Billowes - Experimental measurements and numerical simulations of X-Ray fluorescence of various samples.
