Working at Escape The City now sees me building on my recruitment knowledge, designing and implementing new sales tactics, product development, customer development and liaison, team mentorship and strategy leadership. I help to make sure that opportunities business arm continues to scale and grow. I am currently learning all about growth hacking, whilst developing new business models and testing new ways for the team to work together internally. 21st Century Business operations, growing relationships with existing customers, expanding our thought leadership also are areas I am working towards excelling in.

I manage the entire ecosystem of the 'opportunities' business stream for Escape, which means looking after and working with over 2500 + amazing companies around the world as they grow and hire a stellar new team. I also work with a fantastic team and help support career changers around the world and here in London on our Tribes programmes. Working at Escape The City has enabled me to grow and progress at a rapid rate. My areas of work have encompassed sales, marketing, recruitment advertising, account management, customer sales and is now progressing to include strategy, product management, product analysis and business development, content creation, speaking at and running international events and doing my best to connect great people to great opportunities around the world.
I spent a year travelling around the world, visiting new countries, learning about different cultures, developing as a person. I found it the most intense and fantastic experience (highly recommend). It helped me understand more about myself, other people and how important it is to live a life that is full of adventure, care, people and integrity. I worked for 4 months in Christchurch to help fund my travels, bought a car that was a total piece of rubbish, swan with wild dophins, hiked up volcanoes in the rain, swam in crystal clear waters, rode elephants, taught English to children, helped clean up earthquake damage in NZ, made friends, learned Thai boxing and how to ride a scooter... (Australia, NZ, Laos, Vietnam, Singapore, Cambodia, Thailand, Malaysia, Dubai)
As part of a small, tight-knit team I was responsible for contacting our exiting customer base and providing them with accurate and up-to-date information on our latest products, events and offers. Consistently hitting targets and seeking to learn more about products and operations I was known for my insatiable questioning. I built strong relationships with both the customers and my team mates on the road, advancing to suggesting and implementing ideas for new long term revenue streams, running ‘team building weeks’ and presenting our teams sales results and progress to higher management on business trips.
Working on the Estates Gazette I was responsible for supplying clients with bespoke solutions to their recruitment advertising needs. I skillfully combined knowlegde of both print and online packages to help businesses fill their roles with quality candidates. The role involved a large amount of client and campaign management, in which I was responsible for up to 100 accounts at any one time. I was able to rapidly build relationships over the phone and by email and was proactive in ensuring customer satisfaction and therefore repeat business. I met and exceeded a number of daily, weekly and monthly targets whilst maintaining my relationships with clients and colleagues.
