Melyora Trujillo MPA's current jobs
As a relationship manager and front-line fundraiser for the Department of Philanthropy, I manage a large portfolio of philanthropic entities and prospects with the aim of realizing annual fundraising and organizational goals. As a result, I actively engage in all aspects of the grants management cycle, from prospecting and cultivation to solicitation, outcomes reporting, stewardship and renewal. In addition, I manage a number of grants, large and small, and the development of relationships with individual donors, foundations and corporations whose community giving and corporate social responsibility aligns with the mission of NFP. Lastly, I participate in specialized community grantmaking projects and support key programs and initiatives that advance NFP's philanthropic and partnership goals, as well as the mission and over-arching objectives of the National Service Office. NFP is an evidence-based, community health program with over 40 years of evidence showing significant improvements in the health and lives of first-time moms and their children living in poverty. By pairing expectant first-time mothers with a specially trained NFP nurse during pregnancy until the child’s second birthday, NFP aims to improve pregnancy outcomes, child health and development, and self-sufficiency of the family. Through the partnership, the nurse provides new mothers with the confidence and the tools they need not only to assure a healthy start for their babies, but to envision a life of stability and opportunities for success for both mother and child.
