Framed using the central question "What is the relationship between types of emotions and social identity, in the context of hashtag activism?", my research examines the psychosocial perspectives in activism (environmental, political etc.) among marginalized groups. Within the guardrails of affect and social identity theories, it aims to examine digital activism by studying the types of emotions that engender group agency and prosocial (or altruistic) behavior among socially marginalized groups in Nigeria. My key responsibilities include: • Carrying out research towards a doctoral degree. • Participating in theoretical and/or empirical research in the relevant areas. • Publishing results in the appropriate or designated media. • Presenting findings at conferences and seminars. • Active involvement in academic and professional development.
