Michael, a Chartered Accountant and CFA Charterholder, holds pivotal roles within OMSFIN, where his multifaceted responsibilities encompass: Leadership of OMSFIN's Origination Team: Spearheading the team tasked with sourcing, negotiating, and structuring unlisted debt investments for both OMSFIN's proprietary balance sheet and the Old Mutual Life Assurance Company Limited balance sheet. This includes a diverse range of investments such as vanilla corporate loans, structured loans, leveraged buy-out loans, and bank syndicated loans. Executive oversight of the OMSFIN Mezzanine Debt Fund: Managing a 1.5 billion rand fund dedicated to investing in leveraged loans and other High Yield Bond style loans. Executive stewardship of the OMSFIN Principal Investment Portfolio: Directing a proprietary fund with a broad investment mandate, focusing on identifying equity opportunities in complementary businesses where OMSFIN can provide substantial growth capital. In addition to these pivotal roles, Michael holds membership in OMSFIN's top decision-making bodies, including the Executive Committee, Credit Committee, Investment Committee, Valuations Committee, Capital Management Committee, and Board of Directors.
