HIGH-LINE SUMMARY Approached to take up the Managing Director role leading all functions. Tough choice, as I loved working at my previous company. Nevertheless, the opportunity to return to the baby-care market in Nursery (Juvenile) and Toys with the world’s leading company in this ‘field’ was too good to reject. We are in the midst of a hugely successful turnaround. Artsana UK and Eire experienced 11% growth during 2013, outperforming the nursery market in every category. This rate of growth accelerated in 2014 finishing at +17% & +25% in 2015. Then came further double digit growth in 2016. Growth continues despite the market collapse of major retailers such as Toys R Us and Mothercare. Sales & EBITDA in 2020 grew, despite 30% market decline & the Covid challenge. The achievement to date has been due to developing major cultural change and people development aimed at creating strategic, proactive, results orientated and team focused organisational behaviour. Combined with this; we are concentrating on transforming the main brand, Chicco via a strong integrated & sustained brand approach, whilst delivering excellent consumer orientated product innovation. The success is combined with strong retailer synergistic partnerships. All of this has been delivered whilst relocating the UK HQ from Nottinghamshire, central England to the London area. In addition, also sits on the the Baby Products Association’s Executive Committee.
