Established since 1956, it was set up as a publishing venture to serve academic institutions in the filming of research materials and theses, gradually taking on work from forward-thinking commercial and public-sector organisations. Working in conjunction with Liverpool Register Office, Microform Imaging have created an innovative, bespoke and essential piece of software – REG (Registration Entry Gateway) aimed specifically at Register Offices. REG enables your own internal staff only, to search and retrieve BMD registers digitally (as well as providing a back up copy on microfilm). The search can be either through date range or we can transcribe names directly from the registers and this will take a Registrar directly to the entry within a birth, marriage or death register. We offer a high resolution, scanned image of your register books as well as an analogue copy of your registers saved on to microfilm. This already bespoke software can be contoured to the exact needs and requirements of each individual register office and will truly revolutionise the manner in which you search and retrieve a Birth, Marriage or Death event. Having worked on successful installations of this project with a number of Councils, we proudly exhibited at the LRSA Conference from 2013 and have since, generated masses of interest with Register Offices nationwide.
