Design/Joe Sonderman was the leading multidisciplinary design firm in the southeast during the 1970's and 80's. This creative group worked with clients throughout the U.S. on product design, branded environments, museum master planning and hands-on exhibits, corporate identities, and architectural signage systems. As a young designer I was lucky enough to participate in programs like the design of Discovery Place Museum through to its grand opening, the design of identities and environments for resort communities up and down the Atlantic coast, design programs with corporate clients like IBM, and the collaboration with Joe and a handful of other designers as we founded the Carolina Chapter of the IDSA.
