The three focus areas include Higher Education, Energy and Environment and Equality of Opportunity across Jamshedpur, Jharkhand and Phaltan Pune, Maharastra. • Equality of Opportunity- Believing in holistic development of the villages, various initiatives under the 5 development pillars of Watershed management, Education, Health & Sanitation, Social Engineering (institutional based governance) & Income growth (SHG, WUG and FPOs) were launched and sustained. With active participation of employees and continuous guidance from the leaders the model village project has benefitted. • Energy and Environment- With the support of the local government bodies, expert NGOs and academia, your company has been working actively in the projects like Afforestation (forest area development with forest and local govt projects), Water Conservation (big tank, check dam, ponds etc), Air pollution (smock less chulha, Biogas) and Renewable energy development- Promotion of solar pumps, solar system through convergence with govt programs. • Higher Education- With the vision of providing a better quality of education and exposure to the engineering students, we have continued our engagement with the Phaltan College of engineering. Teachers training program sponsored by your Company has successfully covered the entire staff of the college.
