The BIBF is the training arm of the Central Bank of Bahrain and the Islamic Finance Center having been setup in 1999 is one of the oldest Islamic Finance professional training Center in the world. Accomplishments thus far: • Increase in the Center’s Revenue by 300% since taking over as Head • Initiated a new strategy geared towards e-Learning. Strategy entailed in-house development of the 1st ever official e-Learning platform for Islamic financial Standards in partnership with both the Islamic Finance Standard setting bodies as well as development of the first ever Islamic banking e-simulation software. Have raised over BD 140,000 ($370,000) in funding for the project • Launched flagship program with a distance learning option and negotiated a progression route for graduates into University of Bolton’s Executive MBA • Increased the Center’s foot-print in new jurisdictions and partners such as The World Bank, Islamic Development Bank, Coventry University, Dubai Legal Affairs Department, Kazakhstan, Ghana, Bangladesh among others
