AREU is Representing more the 100 Renewable Energy companies working in Afghanistan. It provides technical support ( e.g. Capacity Building, Match Making, Business Development, Business Advice and More) to its member companies. Key achievements: ▪ Representing 120+ Renewable Energy companies in Afghanistan, as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the AREU ▪ Supervised the development of short, medium and long term strategic plans, regulations, management team scope of work, and financial plans for AREU ▪ Supervised and managed the provision of trainings in areas of Business Plan Development, Financial Management of Start-ups and Medium-sized Companies, Project Management, Importance of Information Technology in Venture Support, and Marketing, for member companies ▪ Participated and represented Union in 50+ high-level meetings (with policy-makers, donors, national power utility, and investors), conferences and events related to Energy Sector of Afghanistan ▪ Has been able to increase AREU members from 30 to 120+ in 3 years and make it financially self-reliant. ▪ Helped AREU sign Memorandum of Understandings with 20+ national and international entities engaged in the energy sector of Afghanistan
