Nancy Hammervik

As CEO of CompTIA Tech Career Academy, Nancy utilizes her 35+ years of experience in high tech as she leads program development and industry outreach aimed at helping individuals, including those from diverse populations, receive the education and training needed to land tech jobs. Prior to her role as CEO, Nancy spent 11 years as CompTIA’s Executive VP, Industry Relations where she helped to shape CompTIA’s educational and networking programs, initiatives, and standards for technology businesses and workforce professionals. She was the principal liaison between the association and members who built, sold, distributed, and influenced the adoption of technology. In her current role as CEO, Nancy remains focused on building relationships with tech industry companies to better understand their recruitment needs and fulfill those needs with CompTIA Tech Career Academy graduates that are prepared to handle the job. As a spokesperson, she encourages youth and adults to consider tech careers by sharing her passion that rewarding careers in tech are available to all. Under Nancy’s leadership, CompTIA Tech Career Academy unlocks people’s potential to help them launch and grow careers in information technology. Nancy is a graduate of the University of Delaware where she received a Bachelors in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing and splits her time between homes on Long Island and in the Hudson Valley, New York.
