Working in a team providing care to foreign students aged 8-18 years. This includes flexible working giving supervision. There were approximately 200 students attending camp per session and there were two sessions over the month. I worked six days a week on 24-hour call. The students came to learn English as a life changing trip to inspire to continue to practice and encourage the use of the language. My duties included leading excursions five times a week to places of interests such as London, Oxford, Cambridge, Warwick Castle etc. I was responsible for 50 children on the excursions. I also helped the students learn through interaction and group activities and encouraged them to participate in various activities. When I was not organising excursions, I would arrange sporting activities and entertainment for the students onsite for the remaining days. Students have some form of activity or excursion arranged from Monday through to Sunday.

I was able to contribute to the atmosphere of trust and confidence and developed positive relationships with both staff members and the children. This ensured that they had the best possible experience of the Camp and were encouraged to develop new skills. On scheduled evenings, I ran a Karate club for children who wanted to participate in a new sport, giving them opportunities for fun and learning.
