Senior Design Engineer & Project Manager with broad based experience in a wide variety of mechanical, electrical, control and process engineering applications. These include marine environments, oil and gas down hole equipment design, HPHT Diamond manufacture, gas atomisation, electron gun design, advanced materials process and equipment development and manufacture. Able to utilise own Altair Hyperworks licence covering full range of applications for sub-contract work providing extensive world class CAE. Current licence aloows up to 60 CPU cores on own office HPC Peer to Peer cluster, with 56 Xeon CPU cores, 4 x Tesla Compute GPU and 1 x Intel Xeon 60 core Phi. This enables large and complex models to be solved in reasonable development time frames. Adopts an open minded, flexible approach to Design for Manufacture, meeting Form Fit Function concepts helps to ensure new products are delivered with minimum prototyping and development. NEBOSH health and safety qualified, BSI internal and external Auditor trained. Altair Hyperworks, Ansys Mechanical Enterprise, Abaqus CAE, SolidWorks FEA Simulation & Inventor FEA Simulation experience. Ongoing project for in-house development of materials processing technology enabling highly efficient synthetic diamond bearing components to provide more efficient next generation gas turbines and clean air aircraft electric propulison units.
