Buy It Direct Group is a collection of product-based companies. Our primary focus is online retailing for both businesses and consumers in the UK. Our core categories are Kitchen Appliances, IT equipment, Bathrooms, Furniture, Doors and Hot Tubs. We offer our own-label products and global brands and trade across sites, including Laptops Direct, Appliances Direct, Furniture123, Better Bathrooms, Outdoor Living and XL Joinery. Recently we launched MrPowa to supply and install solar panels and batteries to landlords of offices and warehouses. Other group companies include Trojan Electronics, which specialises in e-commerce services for retailers, brand owners, importers and distributors. We also own a sourcing company, Babyway International, which sources baby and nursery products for large UK, European and US retailers. We also helped establish Areera, a TV recycling business that uses robots to dismantle screens and separate plastic. Areera is now one of the largest robotic screen recyclers in the world. I am involved with several charities and am particularly interested in Social Impact Investing. I am interested in disruption, making things happen, scaling, identifying gaps, creating moats, challenging the status quo and developing people to think of creative and sustainable ways to make money / save money.
